Byram Hills High School in Armonk, NY will host its third annual No Man Down Lacrosse Classic tournament Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016. The event will attract more than 50 boys and girls high school and youth teams, 800 players and nearly 1,500 spectators from across the tri-state area. All of the funds raised from team fees, concession sales and donations will benefit Building for America’s Bravest. A program of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Building for America’s Bravest builds custom homes for severely injured service members. Every home is energy efficient, automated and easily accessible to help these veterans live better, more independent lives.
Zagwear is the official merchandise sponsor of the event and is donating apparel for the tournament. “I enjoy supporting my hometown and the local community,” Zagwear CEO Toby Zacks says. “But also, Zagwear was located in New York City when 9/11 happened. It left a profound impression on all of us who were there at that time. We want to do anything we can to show appreciation to the servicemen and women who protect our freedom.”
U.S. Army Cpl. Christopher Levi will be the recipient of the smart home built with proceeds from the No Man Down tournament.
“Events like the No Man Down Tournament are the lifeblood of the foundation,” says Andrew McClure, director of marketing and development for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. “We’d be unable to carry out our mission without this remarkable level of support. The proceeds from this event will enable us to move a little closer to welcoming Cpl. Chris Levi into the smart home that he badly needs and deserves. We’re very appreciative.”
